Welcome Back!

To all our homeowners and friends from afar that come to spend our winter months with us here in the desert.  The Board and Desert Resort Management along with Miragescape have spent a busy summer preparing for your arrival.

 

The second phase of the desertscape project has been completed along Via Acapulco. This was completed over the summer to help reduce the amount of water consumption used for the Association. The Board was able to obtain a $2,500 rebate from the City of Palm Springs. As part of their “Buy Back Program”

 

Pool Heating

Pool #1 and Pool #3 are currently being heated this year. Unfortunately, the Association does not have the funds to heat all pool and therefore made the decision to heat the two pools as a compromise. The pools will be heated from October 1st – April 30th.

 

Rental Units

The Winter Rental Season is coming quickly and the Board would like to remind all owners of the Rental Restrictions in the community. The CC&R’s specifically prohibit any rentals for less than 30 days. Vacation Rentals has become a problem in the community. Unfortunately, not all tenants follow the Rules and Regulations of the community and cause noise disturbances for the surrounding owners. The Board will be actively enforcing the Rules and Regulations and would like to remind all owners that they are responsible for all of their guests and tenants.

 

Tennis Courts

We hope everyone has seen the tennis courts that were resurfaced last spring

 

Roof Project

Last summer we started our roofing project. We plan to have 4 buildings re-roofed each year. It is time to start phase two of the roofing project. The following units will be re-roofed starting on October 17th – November 7th.

Security

The Board would like to remind all owners to call the Palm Springs Police Department if they see any suspicious activity inside of the community including anyone that might be on property that is not a resident. For your safety, please do NOT confront anyone that might not belong inside of the community. Please let the Police Department deal with the situation.

 

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is scheduled for November 12, 2011 at 10:00 am. It will be held at the Mizell Senior Center. You will receive the election materials in the mail.  Please remember to vote!
